The IELTS Target Band 7+ course at ISSL Academy is an intensive IELTS preparation program designed for students, professionals, and aspiring international applicants who want to strengthen their English proficiency and work toward a Band 7 or higher. The program provides structured preparation across all four IELTS skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. IELTS officially reports separate scores for these four sections, and the overall band score is calculated from the four component scores. Band 7 represents a “Good” level of English proficiency on the IELTS scale. Through 16 instructor-led classes and 16 mock & practice tests, learners develop practical exam techniques, vocabulary, grammar, paraphrasing, pronunciation, time management, and question-solving strategies. The course combines concept learning with regular practice, writing correction, speaking evaluation, and individual performance feedback. Students receive focused preparation for common Listening and Reading question types, including multiple choice, matching, completion tasks, identifying information, and other IELTS-style exercises. Official IELTS formats use 40 questions in Listening and 40 in Reading. For Writing, students learn how to plan, structure, and develop effective responses. Academic candidates practice describing graphs, tables, charts, maps, and processes for Task 1, while Task 2 focuses on developing clear and well-supported essays. IELTS Writing assessment considers task achievement/response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical range and accuracy. The Speaking preparation covers all three parts of the IELTS Speaking test. Learners practice responding naturally to familiar questions, delivering structured cue-card responses, and discussing more complex ideas. IELTS Speaking is assessed on fluency and coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, and pronunciation.

“The course structure is very easy to follow. The Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking strategies helped me understand how to approach each section more effectively. The regular mock tests were especially useful.”
